How do I figure out which restaurants to book which days at Walt Disney World?

I have been trying to figure this out for about a week now and am finding it frustrating. First of all, they say eat when everyone is not eating. I am from Ca. and am wondering how fast I and my children will adjust to the time change. Any suggestions on how to figure out where I should eat which days? My husband will be coaching the first 4 days we are there and so I have no clue how to work around his schedule. Should I just book a bunch of places and then as it gets closer cancel some of them? Help!
I am trying to make reservations 5-6 months in advance, so hopefully there won't be a problem getting a reservation. My problem is figuring which restaurant to book what day and time.
Currently both of my children have outgrown naps. Ugh!
My son will have just turned 3 and my daughter will be almost 6.
Someone mentioned to book in the parks I will be in each day...but I have no clue how to figure that out. Which days are least busy in which parks?

I always hate trying to plan out where we are going to eat when we go to Disney. What my husband and I always do is try to have at least one really good, sit-down meal per day. Dinner usually works best for us. Check your husband's schedule and see when it will ease up and allow for a good meal. You may want to go ahead and book different places. They always seem to have people, who do not make reservations, willing to wait on a table. They will have your spot filled in no time. You are smart to book so far in advance. The good places fill up so quickly.

If you are going to all the different parks, take a look at the Disney website and check out the different restaurants. Choose several that look good to you and "plan" your day accordingly. If we are having dinner at the Magic Kingdom, we might go to Animal Kingdom in the am because we can see everything we want to there in half a day.

I hate to seem like Clark Griswald from Vacation...... but it helps us to not feel rushed or frustrated to have an idea of what we are going to do so we don't miss anything.
