Until your Druid reaches level 41 where it will be forming special attributes according to the tree that you choose for them, it is very much a hybrid. First imagine that the Druid is good at everything although they do not do good at any one particular role. Shapeshifting makes the Druid adjust to other forms with different attributes and their ability to do those functions well is an attractive option to have around with. This ability allows this class to tank like a Warrior and cast spells like a Mage. Druids also have the ability and use the power of nature to support their friends or attack the enemy.

The question is what will your Druid be?

Remember that only one race for every faction could be a Druid, but selecting a race is the easiest. All you do is decide whether the Druid will be involved in an alliance or will link with a Horde. That is your strategy where you will have to base the progress of your Druid from.

When you are working at specialization, there are three trees with different set of abilities that you will choose from. The trees are for Restoration, Balance and Feral Combat.

When you construct your Druid in the skill tree of balance, your Druid will be built up (as the game progresses) to do and keep on improving his capability to become a caster damage dealer. When the Druid is built from the balance tree, the druid becomes very helpful for raiding parties. In moonkin form, the druid benefits the raiding team, allowing them plus 5% in critical strike rate. Building from the feral combat tree on the other hand enable your Druid to have vast stamina in tanking. If the Druid is decided to melee, the Druid could shapeshift into a cat form and do great DPS. When you choose to develop your Druid from the restoration tree, it will gain the ability to heal the raiding party for up to 6%. The Restoration Druid or the tree Druid ranks among the best healers in the World of Warcraft.
