How does Sigurd The Dragon Slayer fit into Ragnarok?
I'm doing a research paper on Norse Mythology, and I decided to write on the tale, or battle, of Ragnarok. We got the theme of Norse Mythology after reading "Sigurd, The Dragon Slayer" and I need to be able to fit in Sigurd into Ragnarok. Does he have any role in Ragnarok, if so, what is it?
Not directly, but in Wagner's Ring, it is Siegfried, Sigurd's son, who kills the dragon then, on being confronted by Odin, breaks his spear which will ultimately (at the end of Gotterdammerung) bring about Ragnorak.
