Can anyone explain the Marvel and DC artist orginal collector cards to me?
Can anyone explain the Marvel and DC artist orginal collector cards to me. How does one get chosen to do the cards. I understand they get submitted to the various companies for approval and then placed in random packs. In short: How does it all work?
You have to submit a portfolio of work to Marvel and DC, showing your skills in drawing, anatomy, and composition, with an emphasis on character creation. Heroes, villains, women, fan art, etc. They then select those artists they like enough to submit specific characters, which are then sent to the card mfg. companies for approval.
It helps if you have any type of reputation or experience in the field, but if you are talented enough, I'm sure they'll overlook that requirement.
