Alliance Leveling Guide – Supplemental Information You Should Be Aware Of

An Alliance leveling guide, just as its name suggests, is a guide that details the fastest routes to creating an Alliance character from level 1 to level 80. Such guides are very helpful in forging the hero out of your character. However, a guide isn't useful without you knowing some important background information on one of the two factions of races and classes that are battling for the control of the World of Warcraft universe – the Alliance.

{Alliance: A Brief History}

Also known as the Grand Alliance, the Alliance is the faction that is bound by their sacred respect for abstract principles and concepts like honor and nobility. This is in contrast with those that bound the Horde, which consists off-worlders and outsiders who survived battles and wars by means of bonding together as comrades through creating uneasy alliances.

The Grand Alliance once bore the name, the 'Alliance of Lordaeron' because leadership of the faction is in the Lordaeron Empire, a human-ruled empire in the Eastern Kingdoms continent. Nowadays, its former territories are contested between the Scourge and the Forsaken and the Argent Dawn and Scarlet Crusade. After the Plague Of Undeath that ravaged the kingdom and neighboring regions, the Alliance moved its major forces to the Eastern Kingdom continents of Azeroth and Khaz Modan.

{Major Forces In The Alliance}

The Alliance is comprised of 5 major races namely the Draenei who resides in the Exodar, the Humans of Stormwond, the Dwarves living in the Khaz Modan, the Night Elves cloistered in the Darnassus, and the eccentric but brilliant Gnomes of the Gnomeregan. The World of Warcraft: Cataclysm brought a new ally to the faction – the Worgen of GLineas which is a conglomeration of the strongest human nations in the World.

{The Draenei }
The Dreanei are the exiles of the planet Argus that is led by one of the planet's most prominent leaders, Velen. Their search for a safe haven after their escape from the corruption of their planet led them to what is now known the Draenor or the 'Exile's Refuge'.

{The Humans}
The Humans are the foremost member of the Grand Alliance; they were there when it was formed in the old Kingdom of Lordaeron. This was after the human's stronghold – the Stormwind City – was destroyed in the First War.

{The Dwarves}
The Dwarves are essentially a mountain-dwelling class that is devoted to perfecting their two beloved crafts – metal crafting and jewelry. However, when they are called to battle, they give it no second thought and go as quickly as they can to battle. The Dwarves have pledged their loyalty to the Alliance after the invasion of the homeland, the Khaz Modan in the eastern kingdoms during the invasion of the Bleeding Hollow Clan.

{The Gnomes}
Of all races in the Wolrd of Warcraft universe, the Gnomes of the Gnomerigan are the most peculiar of all. They are the creators and developers of the technological wonders of the Alliance.

{The Night Elves }
the Night Elves are WoW's first-born. They are the immortal first born of the World who have cloistered up in theor holy mountain, the Hyjal, for thousands of years. But with their inability to tolerate the proliferation of evil, they have recently joined the Alliance.
